Dawn Lucius 唐恩 · Earth engineer
Dawn Lucius is the protagonist of Star Map Draftsman — an Earth engineer, not the site author. In 2059 he is sent to a Kuiper Belt ‘meteorite’. It is an alien ship. A Datheon device marks him as a Star Map Draftsman. He is father to Stacean. Start free at From Earth.
Who he is
Dawn is an Earth engineer pulled into Orion Arm politics. He is not a warlord by training. He marks stars, bargains with federations, and keeps trying to return to his son. The series follows that desk — and the cost of holding it.
Kuiper Belt · 2059
The door opens in the Kuiper Belt, 2059. Earth first logged the target as a meteorite. It is not. What Dawn finds there remakes his body and his life.
The Draftsman role
Dark matter gathers wherever a Star Map Draftsman appears. Federations want that power on their side. Dawn carries the Star Source through Book I and into Book II, when dark matter begins to vanish. See also dark matter vanishing.
Father and son — the hard cost
Stacean Lucius is Dawn’s son. The series treats that bond as hard cost, not a romance slogan: distance, abduction risk, and a father who keeps fighting for his son while the war stays unfinished. Spoilers live in the chapters.
